My name is Ashley, and I have already fallen in love with this community.

I live near Mankato, MN so I'm not too far away from the cities!  I absolutely love Elegant Lolita, and I enjoy more of the pinks/blues/whites for myself, but I appreciate Gothic Lolita just as much.  I don't have the money for full on Lolita gear, but I am slowly saving up for some outfits.  Once I've got my first one, I am going to have a tea party with some friends!  Haha.

I make headdresses and lolita-style aprons for myself, and I wear them most of the time with my   'normal clothing.'  Always frilly knee-highs and my Mary Janes, as well!  I try and give off a loli look even though I don't have entire outfits.  I hope this isn't looked down upon by other Lolitas.

I am 18 years of age, and I try and hit up Anime Detour every year!  Also, I would love to meet more Lolitas from this
state.  I have friends who are somewhat into it, but they'd never dress up.  ):

I'm Feeling..:
Happy!

Hello! Nice to meet you! There are a lot of wonderful seamstresses in the area, so when you save up enough you should have a look at them. Like Miss blasphemina. I also make stuff, but it's not as cute. :-)

you have a Eurekas Castle icon! :) How sentimental!

My wife and I will be running a room party at detour this year (nothing to do with loli, but its having a fun "saterday morning cartoon/sleepover" theme. You should be sure to stop by.

And eva is right- you should really look into working with one of the local desingers when your ready to take the plunge- that way, you have something unique to you, thats certain to fit right! Much better than the "order something 1000 other girls have and pray it fits" strategie.

Anyways, welcome.

Yes, I love Eureka's Castle, haha!

And yes, I've found a couple sites where they can make custom lolita clothing. I already know what my first few outfits will be! Haha. <3

And I have looked at Blasphemina's website! All very beautiful stuff. I think I already know what I'll be spending my tax returns on. XD

See you at Detour as well. Hopefully I'll see a lot of you there. I'm in Bloomington so if you ever wanna meet up at MOA, just PM me and I'd be happy to meet up with you there and hang out with you. I have nothing to do now that I'm out of work and still looking.

Hi!! And welcome!! I hope you can make it to some of our meetups!! I think there is someone in the community who lives out by you that posted a while back! I am with everyone here on the local designers. MN_egl is FULL of awesome and talented people...it's seriously crazy! All of the designers that I know will actually do custom designs for you too...you don't have to order things like the pictures on their websites....if you have an idea, just shoot it over to them and they will work with you! It's also nice that you can adjust the price depending on what kind of fabrics you use. If you need suggestions, just let us know! And hope to see you soon!
